The position of Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for all A/R related tasks and assisting the leadership team and administration personnel in daily duties, general data entry and reporting. This position is key to effectively delivering administrative goals and ensuring consistent cash flow.

Key skills include verbal and written communication, attention to detail, knowledge of general accounting principles, organization, and Microsoft office skills with heavy emphasis on Excel.

This position reports to the Accounting Manager.  Additional key stakeholders include the leadership and finance teams.

Key Accountabilities

  1. 80% Assist in the daily functions of the finance team to ensure all A/R processes, tasks, and the overall administrative duties are carried out professionally and efficiently.

  • DMR report daily

  • A/R invoicing jobs within 24 hours of completion. Ensuring funds are received from Service Techs within 24 hours.

  • Supporting & assisting A/P when necessary.

  • Post Incoming funds to customer accounts via Goodleap financing, etc.

  • Ensure mail, checks, and cash are collected each day and deposited.

  • Send open A/R Aging Reports with detail to operations once a week to provide leaders with the data needed to make informed decisions and take proactive steps to maintain financial stability.

  • Assist in the collection of past due accounts.

  • Assist with the monthly bank drafts, collections for LDC accounts.

  • Ensure receivables are coming in on time and report to leadership when they are not.

 

2. 20% Additional Responsibilities.

  • Assist the Accounting Manager, CFO, and Finance team in the review of monthly financial statements for accuracy and GAAP compliance.

  • Assist in Month-end close procedures with account reconciliations.

  • Additional duties include, but are not limited to scanning of documents, filing and answering phone.

  • Assist with snacks/breakfast budget management.

  • Assist in event planning and companywide meetings.

  • Assist in external audits as assigned.

Critical Skills

Microsoft office skills with an emphasis on excel

Communication skills, Organized, detailed oriented, and consistent follow thru

Knowledge of basic I.T. related systems and hardware setups

Measures of Success

DMR reports by 10 am daily

No outstanding A/R past 90 days

All Invoicing completed and accurate within 24 hours of job completion
