Warehouse Manager
Position Overview
This position will manage a team that is responsible for all aspects of the company’s inventory and logistics. All the processes and procedures that ensures operational efficiency around parts, equipment, and tools that ensure inventory levels consistently supports the efforts of three different trades. Additional accountabilities include maintaining effective relationships with vendors and negotiating with current and potential vendors for best quality at timely delivery at best prices and coordinating the maintenance and preventive upkeep of warehouse, equipment, and tools.
This position is responsible for ensuring that operational standards are met in all aspects of the business. Key stakeholders include the Director of Operations, leadership team, field employees, office employees, vendors/suppliers and subcontractors.
REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience
3–5 years of proven success in warehouse operations, including improving efficiency, accuracy, and overall performance
3–5 years of experience leading warehouse teams (5+ direct reports)
Demonstrated experience scaling warehouse operations to support business growth
Experience managing inventory environments with 3,000+ SKUs
Leadership & Core Competencies
Strong leadership and team development skills
High emotional intelligence with the ability to manage, motivate, and hold team members accountable
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
Ability to analyze data and make sound operational decisions
Strong business acumen with an understanding of how warehouse operations impact overall company performance
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Intermediate Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data analysis)
Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS); Service Titan experience preferred
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
50% Operational excellence and efficiency in all Warehouse functions
Demonstrate leadership and people management skills in a manner that supports the company’s culture, policies, ethics, results and results in in business growth, trust and collaboration.
Ensure team members continuously improve both their technical and communication skills in a manner that consistently achieves individual and Team goals.
Ensure Inventory never drops below minimum levels and Service technicians and Installers daily inventory needs are continuously met.
Ensure physical and cycle counts are done consistently and Inventory is accurate.
Identify shrinkage and proactively follow through to ensure corrective action is taken.
Ensure Key Warehouse Metrics are maintained at acceptable levels:
a. Back orders b. Open PO’s c. Negative on hands d. Partially received PO’s

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO OUR TEAM
Skills: Leadership, management
20% Ensure Material Spend in all divisions is managed at or below Industry benchmarks and budgeted amounts.
Negotiate pricing agreements with vendors in a manner that ensures lowest effective Inventory Pricing while maintain service levels.
Ensure our system pricing is accurate and up to date.
Ensure Technicians and Installers are following all Inventory Process and procedures – report behavior outside guidelines to Management.
Ensure vendors are honoring pricing agreements and hold them to our operational standards.

Skills: Expense management, oversight
10% Ensure Parts running operations and Tool Room are efficient and meeting the needs of the business
Ensure we have adequate Parts running capacity to meet demand in the field.
Follow all Parts Running protocol in a manner that maximizes efficiency and speed of delivery.
Take action to minimize the need for Parts running as much as possible.
Track Tool usage, follow check in/out process, and maintain tool room organization and accuracy.
Ensure maintenance and repairs of tools are performed as needed.
Monitor costs of repairs and maintenance is within budgeted amounts.

10% Ensure Equipment and Assets are properly maintained and accounted for:
Track Equipment spend in the following areas and report changes and inventory movement to Finance monthly:
a. HVAC Equipment b. Water Treatment c. Generators d. Plumbing Equipment
Skills: Negotiations, accountability, making complex decisions
10% Collaborative efforts with our Fleet team:
Ensure cooperation with Fleet team to ensure continuity between these closely related Departments.
Support Purchasing of stock for new Truck Builds.
Maintain Warehouse wages at or below budget.
Measures of Success
Maintain Material Spends at or below Budgeted Amounts.
a. Plumbing material costs < 16% b. Electrical material costs < 14%
Maintain Warehouse wages at or below budget.
Warehouse Team operates at maximum efficiency
Low team member turnover
NO Stock Items on shelf run out or are below Monthly Min amounts called for in S.W.
